Norman Mukuru, a coffee veteran with 20+ years of coffee processing experience, owns and runs The Coffee Yard in collaboration with The Coffee Gardens. They currently process coffee cherry from around 578 farmers located in the nearby villages at the foot of Mt. Elgon, Uganda.

For Muki Fruity, cherry is floated on arrival, sorted for ripeness, rinsed, drip-dried to reduce the moisture content, and then sorted again for quality. Only select cherry is fermented in sealed barrels for 36hrs and slowly dried on raised African beds over at least 21 days to achieve a boozy and tropical fruit-forward flavour profile.
