More About Las Lajas Perla Negra Natural
Produced by third-generation coffee grower, Oscar Chacón Solano, this microlot comes from the Perla Negra plot on his 100ha Las Lajas farm and is one of their signature coffees. It’s processed using a natural method that Oscar Chacón helped popularise in Costa Rica—ripe red cherries are harvested and placed whole on a drying patio for around 4 weeks where they are gently moved twice daily to encourage gradual and gentle dehydration. Once dry, they are dehulled, sorted for size, and stored prior to shipping.
