Kiandu AB Washed

Cherries for this lot were grown by smallholder farm members of the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) in Kenya’s famed Nyeri County and delivered to Kiandu Coffee Factory.

On arrival, cherry is sorted and only cherries that adhere to the wash station’s high quality standards are selected. They are then immediately fully washed processed – de-pulped, submerged in water for 12-48hrs, rinsed completely, and then sun dried on raised African beds for up to 3 weeks – and stored prior to export.
